Jamiat Ulama Uttar Pradesh State Governing Body Meeting Concludes in Amroha

Amroha, October 1, 2026: The state-level governing body meeting (Majlis-e-Muntazima) of Jamiat Ulama Uttar Pradesh was successfully held at Madrasa Islamia Arabia, Jama Masjid, Amroha, in a peaceful and disciplined atmosphere.

The meeting was presided over by Mufti Syed Mohammad Affan Mansoorpuri, President of Jamiat Ulama Uttar Pradesh, while the proceedings were conducted by General Secretary Maulana Aminul Haq Abdullah Qasmi. A large number of office-bearers and members from different districts of Uttar Pradesh reached Amroha to participate in the important meeting.

In his presidential address, Mufti Affan Mansoorpuri emphasized national unity, integrity and peaceful coexistence. He said that Jamiat Ulama has consistently worked for the progress of the country and the promotion of social harmony. He appealed to the people to avoid provocative statements and remain committed to legal, democratic and constitutional means for protecting their rights.

He also stressed the importance of education, proper guidance for the youth and awareness campaigns against social evils such as drug addiction and unnecessary expenditure in weddings.

General Secretary Maulana Aminul Haq Abdullah Qasmi presented a detailed report on the organization's activities during the previous term. The report highlighted work in education, modern education through NIOS along with madrasa education, social reform, relief activities and efforts to ensure that government welfare schemes reach people in need.

During the meeting, 15 resolutions were unanimously passed on issues related to national interest, social reform, communal harmony and constitutional rights. A proposal was also passed to strengthen the Sadbhavna Manch at the grassroots level to promote mutual trust, dialogue and brotherhood among people of different communities.

The meeting also discussed campaigns against drug addiction, social evils and unnecessary expenditure in marriages. Matters concerning Waqf properties, mosques and madrasas were also discussed, with an appeal for a fair and lawful process in related administrative matters.

The gathering further emphasized providing relief without discrimination during floods and other natural disasters and ensuring that government welfare schemes reach the needy.

The meeting concluded peacefully with Dua by Maulana Abdur Rahman Qasmi. The organizers stated that the event was conducted in accordance with the directions of the local administration.
